Frequently Asked Questions

How do I set up an appointment?

All new client appointments must be scheduled in advance by contacting The Collective Therapy Center by phone at 205.210.8620 or emailing elizabeth@thecollectivetherapycenter.com. You can start the process by completing the initial intake appointment request form here

How long does it take to get an appointment?

We try to get people in as quickly as possible. Due to the current mental health needs, you may placed on a waiting list. If you are placed on a waiting list, we will provide you with an estimated wait time via email.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

We will send all paperwork via email and it will need to be completed prior to your first session. This allows us to spend the entire first session focusing on your individual needs and expectations for therapy rather than completing paperwork.

How long will my child be in counseling?

Unfortunately, this is not possible to say in a general FAQs page. Everyone’s circumstances are unique to them and the length of time counseling can take to allow you to accomplish your goals depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek counseling in the first place. Additionally, the healing process takes time.

How does payment work?

Sessions are $150/hour. You may pay with cash, check, or credit card. You are responsible for ensuring full payment of services at the time of the appointment. A credit card will be kept on file to ensure prompt payment.
